On the occasion when one page just isn’t enough for your specific website build, we want to show how you can create a multiple page site using Strikingly. Multiple Pages is a Pro feature for those of you who really want to build bigger sites, with lots of content and features divided onto different pages.
How to Create a Multiple Page Site – Video Transcription
Hi there, this is Susan from Strikingly and today, I’m going to show you how to create a multiple page site with Strikingly!
To enable multiple pages, go into your settings panel, select Advanced, then Multiple Pages. And hit “Activate”. Now, you’ll notice the new page manager on the left sidebar, above the sections manager.
I want to convert my page “Sunny Side Up” into a five page site – with a homepage, two ‘travel guide’ pages, a page for the blog, and a ‘Contact’ page. First, let’s add our new pages by clicking “Manage pages” here.
Enter a title for each page you add. You can always rename, reorder, add, or delete pages in the page manager, and can add up to 10 pages total. Please also note that you can’t use different templates for different pages, although you Can still use the template switcher, to change up the look of your multiple page site.
Next, lets add content to these new pages. Click “GO BACK” to edit your page. You can now add new sections to any page, by first selecting the page you want to edit from the dropdown menu, and then adding and editing sections on that page, just like with a single-page website.
You can also transfer sections between pages. Let’s say you want to move this ‘Contact’ section from your original page, to your new “Contact” page – just click the “Move to page” command under the section title, then pick the page you want to move it to. If you then switch to that page, you’ll see the section has moved there!
Now that we’ve published the multiple page site, you’ll notice your site URL will point to your homepage, and your other pages will have permalinks generated using your page titles.
If at any point you find yourself missing your old one-pager – just go back into Settings, Advanced, Multiple Pages, and click the big red “Revert to single page” button. This will keep your home page and hide all the other pages – and don’t worry, because you can always reactivate multiple pages to restore them.
